Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, revealed today that the business is establishing the “Meta Avatars Store,” a digital designer clothes store. Users can purchase digital clothing for their avatars via the new virtual shop, which will be available on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger. Following Monday, the shop will go live with digital ensembles from Balenciaga, Prada, and Thom Browne as its first offerings. In terms of the cost of these digital clothes, Meta has not said anything. For Meta avatars, the free clothing choices will still be accessible.
Meta, according to Zuckerberg, aims to become an open marketplace for apparel designers and manufacturers.

In the US, Canada, Thailand, and Mexico, the Meta Avatars Store will begin rolling out in the next week or so. The firm intends to offer more brands to the shop shortly.
Today’s release is the culmination of Meta’s efforts to improve its avatars as the company continues to invest in the metaverse. It was earlier this year that Meta introduced its 3D avatars to Instagram, as well as a new version of its avatars for Facebook and Messenger. Avatars now have different emotions, faces, skin tones, and assistive technology gadgets thanks to the upgrade. Users may now bring the same avatar across all Meta platforms, including virtual reality, as well.
